OUR PLASTICS

VIP-Plastic
Super-durable hi-tech plastic with excellent performance. VIP plastic is transparent so you can see through it. Discs made in VIP-plastic maintain their flight characteristics and reliability for a long time. This plastic is suitable to both recreational players and pro players. Similarity between Latitude Opto-plastic and Westside VIP-plastic is more than 98%.

TOURNAMENT-Plastic
An advanced version of VIP-plastic that contains technical polymers. You cannot see through TOURNAMENT plastic and these discs might be slightly more overstable than same discs in VIP-plastic. The durability of TOURNAMENT plastic is at the same level than VIP Plastic, but the TOURNAMENT's grip is slightly better. This is a plastic that advanced and pro players often prefer over VIP plastic. Our TOURNAMENT plastic is quite similar to Latitude GOLD plastic.

ECO1 Plastic
The soft plastic that we use only in out putters is firm in your hand, yet tacky, making it great for grabbing the chains. The ECO1 plastic is much less durable than VIP- and TOURNAMENT -plastics, but the price is cheaper. ECO1 plastic is suitable to players at all skill levels.

ABOUT THE WESTSIDE'S MOLDS AND COPYRIGHTS

Westside Northman's and all our future discs molds and copyrights are 100% owned by Westside Golf Discs. All Westside discs are released by us. The production will take place in co-operation with a Swedish company due to their six year experience in operating frisbee machines.

The graphics of the disc are from Finnish national epic Kalevala. The artist is a Finnish professional graphical designer Arto Hoffrén.

WHAT IS KALEVALA NATIONAL EPIC?

The Kalevala is a book and epic poem from Finnish folklore. It is the national epic of Finland. The epic consists of 22 795 versis diveded into 50 runes. The Rune 1, Birth of Wainamoinen, begins like this:
In primeval times, a maiden,
Beauteous Daughter of the Ether,
Passed for ages her existence
In the great expanse of heaven,
O'er the prairies yet enfolded.

The whole Kalevala is available in English language here.
